Deidra Rader

  • Deidra Rader hails from Tulsa, OK and just finished her 10th season as the head coach of Lincoln Christian School Volleyball, her teams having won the State Championship in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022. She is a Union High School All-State player, Union Athletics Hall of Famer and letter-winner at Oral Roberts University. She is married to Daniel and is mom to Jett and Jax (age 10) and Knox (age 7).

Her first head coaching job was in Nansemond River, Virginia when Daniel was stationed at Naval Station Norfolk. They moved back to Oklahoma and she took the Head Coach position at Moore where she led the program to their highest season win record and fell just one match win short of the 6A State Tournament in 2014.

She is also involved in the club volleyball world: Prior to returning “home” to OK Charge, Deidra coached at Ultimate for two years, ClubONE for six years, and at Charge in Oklahoma City for two seasons before moving back home to Tulsa. Prior to Oklahoma, she coached two years for Coastal Virginia Volleyball Club where her 13s team won the Regional Tournament to advance to USAV Nationals in Atlanta. Three of her 11s teams have earned bids to USAV Nationals and she has loved training the fundamentals for that age group to help them continue on to successful club careers. She has coached over 30 athletes that have gone on to play collegiately, is CAP 1 Certified and is a Positive Performance Mental Training Coach and Visualization Specialist.

  • Deidra has worked with my child for the past two years, and her impact has gone far beyond improving basic volleyball skills. She brings an exceptional level of patience and consistency to her coaching, offering kind, steady corrections that build confidence rather than pressure. What truly sets Deidra apart is her ability to develop an athlete’s volleyball IQ—teaching positioning, decision-making, anticipation, and game awareness in a way that elevates performance beyond current physical abilities. Under her guidance, my child has grown not only as a more skilled and intelligent player, but also as a more disciplined, resilient, and thoughtful person. Deidra coaches the whole athlete, and her influence is evident both on and off the court. Deidra is, quite simply, the kind of person I’m proud to know and to have my child emulate. I offer my full and unrestrained recommendation.
